Growing up one of the things I always remembered is special birthday name pancakes. My parents would spell out our names with pancake batter and I have made sure to make these for my kids every year and James even asked for his this year!
These pancakes are a family favorite with bananas and cinnamon. It has taken me a long time to get good enough that I can make the letters somewhat readable.
James was a little upset I didn't put chocolate chips on it. I would have if I could find our mini chocolate chips, but they were MIA and the big ones would have messed up.
